PSG offer €10m per year contract to AC Milan midfielder

PSG sporting director Leonardo continues to cause problems for the Rossoneri with his attempts to sign AC Milan players.

Leonardo Araujo has had a love-hate story with AC Milan. The Brazilian is a former player of the Rossoneri. He latter served as coach of the club and immediately after being sacked joined the rivals of Inter. In 2018, he returned to serve as the sporting director of the Rossoneri in a short-lived adventure that lasted only one year.

Leonardo returned to France and is now the sporting director of  Paris Saint-Germain but always keeping a close eye on his former club. After the attempts to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma and Lucas Paqueta, he now wants to sign another AC Milan star.

Journalist Andrea Longoni reports that Leonardo has contacted George Atangana, the agent of Franck Kessie. PSG are very interested in the AC Milan central midfielder whose contract with the Rossoneri expires in 2022.

The French giants, through Leonardo, have offered Kessie a staggering long-term contract of 10 million euros per season. However, that offer is valid only if Franck refuses to renew with Milan and joins PSG on a free transfer next summer. The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best central midfielders in Italy scoring 10 goals and assisting 5 in 33 appearances so far.

In parallel with Donnarumma, Maldini is negotiating the contract extension of Kessie. The former Atalanta is currently earning 2.2 million and Milan are willing to offer him 4 million per season. Kessie’s agent Atangana has asked for 5 million per season. Talks are postponed until the end of the season and Champions League qualification is sure to play a huge part in the player’s decision.
